We are entering ‘the days of Lot’

Regarding your recent article ‘Ashers Baking Company to mount appeal against court ruling’.

Although there is apparently huge public support for an appeal, I see no guarantee that the ruling made on May 19 will be overturned.

In the recent Queen’s Speech a new counter-terrorism bill was included to bring in extremism disruption orders.

The government sees ‘extremism’ as opposition to British values. What are British values? It appears they have become political correctness and secular liberalism.

Based on the Ashers case, other similar anti-Christian court judgments and the Irish referendum, it could be argued we are entering ‘the days of Lot’.

It may surprise some that Jesus said in these days “they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed” (Luke 17:28-30).

People were taken up with the ordinary business of life that they have no time and no attention to spare for the storm warnings that come from God.

One positive point to conclude – this is the time when the Lord Jesus predicted He will return again.
