Bank Holiday fun at Somerford Park Premier League Dressage Show

Entries are now open for this year's much anticipated Somerford Park Premier League Dressage Show, the fourth of British Dressage's eight annual Premier League competitions.

With Rio just a couple of months away this is the perfect opportunity to watch some of Britain’s leading dressage stars in action.

Spectators can expect to see top young riding talent in the TopSpec Under 25 Grand Prix, and exciting future horse prospects in the British Dressage Young Horse qualifiers. Highlights of the weekend include the Prix St George, a direct qualifier for the LeMieux National Championships in September plus Grand Prix and Freestyle to Music.

The show gets under way on Saturday with a host of classes ranging from Advanced Medium, Intermediate I & II, Prix St George and includes a Equitop Myoplast British Young Horse Five and Six Year Old Qualifier.

The Berkeley Homes Intermediate I kicks off proceedings on Sunday morning, and a star studded timetable ensues including the Grand Prix at midday and a glitzy evening to follow culminating in the Freestyle to Music supported by Bottega Prosseco who will be hosting a reception for owners, sponsors and riders. Bank Holiday Monday begins with a Prix St George, later in the morning and one of the high spots of the weekends proceedings is the Grand Prix Special. A number of young horse and young pony classes feature throughout the day. Monday also provides pony riders a last opportunity to show case their talent prior to team selection to represent Team GBR at the European Championships.
