The Belfast fighter drew in his last outing against Conrad Cummings and he is now looking to get back to winning ways and taking another step up the ladder.

“I am looking forward to the fight and getting back in the ring. I thought I won the fight against Cummings - but this is boxing and these things happen.

“Sheedy is a good fighter and I am looking forward to the challenge.

“The aim is to win on Saturday night and then move upwards and onwards.

“Preparation has been going very well and I have been sparring with the likes of Martin Lindsay, Joe Fitzpatrick, James Fryers and JD Meli.

“This is a big opportunity for me and I am ready to take it,” said Meli.
