Paul Hyland Jnr will strut his stuff at the world famous Europa Hotel in Belfast on October 17.

The Belfast lightweight has a great chance to progress further up the British rankings when he gets to headline at at a venue famously known as ‘the most bombed hotel in Europe’.

Hyland faces former Hungarian amateur standout Bence Molnar who has won 13 of his 18 contests to date.

On the night Hyland Jnr and Molnar will fight for the new British Promoters Association International Junior Challenge Lightweight belt over eight rounds in a contest that is approved by the British Boxing Board of Control.

Hyland Jnr has impressed in his seven outings to date and a marked improvement could clearly be seen in his last couple of fights.

He likes a fight and is looking forward to the challenge that Molnar will bring to the ring at the Europa.

“I am up for the challenge of headlining at the Europa and getting my hands on a title. It is also fantastic to be fighting in the Europa and I am looking forward to the experience,” Hyland Jnr said.

“So far as a professional things have been going well and I am still unbeaten.

“My manager Mark Dunlop has kept me busy and I have been winning – so I am happy.”

And Hyland Jnr says preparation has been going well for the show.

“I had a wee break over the summer and went on a bit of a holiday, but I have been back training now for a while and I am feeling good.

“I am moving up a level in this fight, so I now I have to work hard and make sure I am in great shape for the fight,” he added.

James Tennyson – the Celtic featherweight Champion – will also be in action as he closes in on a British title shot in the coming months.

Dee Walsh – the Irish Light Middleweight belt holder – will also take to the ring at the Europa after training at Floyd Mayweather’s Gym in Las Vegas.

James Fryers and Joe Fitzpatrick – a Commonwealth Games silver medallist – will also feature.

Fitzpatrick has looked the part since turning professional in the summer and much is expected of him.
