Trainer Shane McGuigan cannot wait for Carl Frampton and Scott Quigg’s World title showdown in Manchester on February 27.
Frampton and Quigg will fight at the MEN Arena for the IBF and WBA World titles and McGuigan is one hundred percent confident his man will come out on top in front of a packed stadium.
“Quigg is a good fighter but Carl is a great fighter - that is the difference.
“Carl will come out victorious and get the win and it is a huge fight that sold out in seven minutes.
“And I don’t really like Eddie Hearn and Joe Gallagher - but I don’t really mind Quigg.
“I just think they are a disrespectful bunch and I just want Carl to go in there and teach them some manners and give them a boxing lesson.
“And that is what we are going to do. We are going to batter his head off and he will get desperate and walk into some big shots down the stretch,” he added.
And Shane says things are going well at McGuigan’s Gym in Battersea.
“Yes things are good. Anto Cacace just won the Celtic title, and Josh Taylor also won on Friday night.
“Taylor is learning all the time, Josh Pritchard is learning and we have also got Frampton and David Haye at the top level.
“It is great for all the young fighters in the gym to aspire to that level.
“And I have teamed up with Haye and he brings something new to the gym. We also have the Frampton fight against Quigg which is huge for British boxing. Exciting times.”
