Frampton challenges Josh Warrington for the IBF Featherweight World title in Manchester on December 22 - while Conlan is in action on Saturday night as he faces Nicola Cipolletta in Las Vegas.

There has plenty of speculation of how good Conlan could become and ‘The Jackal’ has no doubts about Conlan’s ability.

“Mick is very, very good. Very skilful. He is also in great hands with Top Rank and MTK and he has all the potential in the world to be a huge superstar.

“He has a massive opportunity to do something special.

“He is with the right people and they will look after him. They will get him the right fights at the right time.

“He did 5000 seats in New York on his debut. As a Belfast boy there is not many who can do that.

“They will be clever with him and let him fight in America and then bring him home to fight here as well. He is in great hands and he has loads of potential.”
