Conrad Cummings and Alfredo Meli would love to do it all again after their war at the Waterfront Hall on Friday night.

The two fighters gave their all during a ten round slugfest as their Celtic title middleweight contest ended in a majority draw at the Belfast venue.

Many at the clash thought we were all in for an early night after Cummings dropped Meli in the first - but the former Immculata amateur - regrouped and came charging back.

Both had their moments in a fantastic contest and they had to settle for a draw.

And Cummings says he would love to meet Meli again in the coming months.

“It was ten hard rounds and I thought I did enough to win the fight.

“The worst thing that happened me was getting the knock down in the first round. I was then loading up and that is the one thing my trainer Shane McGuigan told me not to do.

“I have respect for Fredo and let us do it again. A rematch,” he added.

And Meli would also like to do it all again.

“It was a cracking fight from start to end and I have lots of respect for Conrad.

“The real winners were the fans. They got value for money, while all the two of us got a hiding

“The two of us lost our unbeaten records but that is the way it goes in boxing.

“I thought I won the fight, but I would love a rematch. We will just have to wait and see what happens,” added Meli.
