James Fryers and James Tennyson are both closing in on British title shots before on Saturday night’s show at the Europa Hotel in Belfast.
Super-featherweight Fryers will fight Maxi Hughes in an eliminator for the British title at the Belfast hotel and if he comes through that successfully the British title will be within his grasp.
And Fryers is looking forward to facing Hughes.
“I want 2016 to be a big year for me and I want that British title fight within the next few months. But first of all I have to deal with Hughes on Saturday night and I am totally focused on this fight.
“Hughes is a good fighter so I will have to be on my game.
“This is a great opportunity for me and I am delighted that it is taking place in Belfast,” he added.
On Saturday night Tennyson faces Antonio Horvatic before he hopefully takes on Ryan for the British featherweight title. Tennyson can bang and promoter Mark Dunlop would love to get this British title fight in Belfast.
Also on Saturday night Paul Hyland Jnr, Joe Fitzpatrick, Fergal McCrory and Tyrone McCullagh will also feature.
And the weigh-in for the show takes place on Friday (1230pm) at the Europa. Everyone welcome.
