Joe Fitzpatrick got his professional career off to a flying start as he stopped Ignac Kassai in the first round at the Devenish on Saturday night.
There has been plenty of hype about Commonwealth Games silver medal winner Fitzpatrick in the build-up to this fight and he certainly delivered.
The heavy-hitting southpaw shook Kassai with body shots and after 1 minute 22 seconds of round one the fight was stopped.
And Fitzpatrick was on a high after winning on his debut.
“Great start, but I know there are far tougher fights out there. We had been working on body shots in the gym and they paid off.
“The atmosphere was out of this world and I want to be busy in the coming months and get in a few fights and gain more experience about the professional game.”
And James Tennyson kept himself ticking over with a third round stoppage of Krysztof Rogowski.
Tennyson used his jab well and put his opponent under pressure before referee Hugh Russell jumped in to stop the fight in the third.
