Hyland will be looking to bounce back after losing to Lewis Ritson in his bid to become British champion earlier this year.

And the Belfast lightweight faces Martinez - who has eight wins from his 15 fights to date, including four knockouts.

“You are always in for a tough fight against a Mexican opponent,” Hyland said.

“He’s only been stopped once in those six defeats, so he will be durable.

“I have to make sure I stick to the game plan. I love a good tear-up but I have to box. I think that’s when I am at my most effective.

“So I will listen to my corner and stick to the game plan they give me.”

“I didn’t dwell on the defeat in Newcastle. Ritson is a very talented guy, someone who will go on to challenge for a world title.

“I took it on the chin and have moved on.”
