NCU Premier League club Lisburn have signed a leading young South African franchise batsman as their overseas player/coach for the 2016 season.
Heinrich Klaasen (24) represents the Titans franchise and boasts a formidable batting average of 53.38 and a highest score of 201.
In addition he is an accomplished wicketkeeper and off spinner.
Klaasen replaces Darryl Brown who leaves Wallace Park after four seasons.

It was a highly successful tour for Klaasen and he underlined his class with two fifties and a brilliant century against the Sri Lankan Emerging team, carving out 136 off just 125 balls with 19 fours and one six. His fine form has continued into the start of this years South African domestic season with a match winning 72 of just 39 balls for Northerns as they recently clinched the African T20 Cup.
Gary Hunt of Cric-Intro added: “congratulations to Lisburn, they have secured a gun cricketer and a great lad.”
A Lisburn CC spokesman said: “We are delighted that Heinrich has agreed to join us as we build towards next season. Darryl Brown did a great job, however, after four years we decided that it was time to freshen things up.”
“The Premier League is now hugely competitive and a top professional is a priority. We hope Heinrich has a successful and enjoyable season.”
