Belfast Harlequins stay in relegation trouble after losing 1-0 to Lurgan in Wednesday night’s Premier League game at Deramore.

They remain in second bottom place in the table despite ending a poor run with a 1-0 win over Ballymoney at the same venue last weekend.

Zoe Hawthorne’s second half goal proved decisive in a hard fought encounter which could have gone either way.

Lurgan dominated for most of the first half but were unable to convert any of the three penalty corners they were awarded.

But the visitors had to withstand a fierce onslaught from Quins before scoring the winner.
