Muckamore sign Pakistani after Jonker deal falls through

Muckamore have signed Pakistan veteran Shoaib Khan as their overseas professional after a deal for South African Christaan Jonker fell through.

Jonker, the 31-year-old batsman, was Muckamore’s first choice but his planned season at Moylena was thrown into doubt after he played for his country in a recent T20 series against Australia.

It is believed that his registration would still have been approved by the Northern Cricket Union, but Jonker was subsequently selected for South Africa A, effectively ending Muckamore’s interest.
