Nick Larkin to make debut as the Irish prepare for Sri Lanka matches

Ireland take on Sri Lanka in the first of three 50-over matches at Stormont on Wednesday.

Ireland are missing all of their county stars with the captaincy going to Andrew Poynter of Clontarf.

There will be a debut for Nick Larkin, North Down’s Australian-born batsman. Play is due to start at 10.45am.

There were wins for Coleraine and Ardmore in the North West’s Twenty20 competition on Tuesday night.

The Bannsiders beat Fox Lodge by 12 runs at Sandel Lodge while Ardmore defeated league leaders Strabane by seven wickets as Andrew Riddles starred with four wickets and 41 not out.
