Waringstown’s preparations for the new domestic cricket season have suffered a blow after professional Shaheen Khan withdrew from his contract.
The South African all-rounder suffered a serious back injury while playing for Western Province in a domestic match.
Khan, who was a big hit in his first season at The Lawn, informed the villagers last weekend that he would be unable to fulfil his commitments this summer.
