Eddie Hill doesn’t mind if his Ballyclare Comrades are tagged as underdogs for Saturday’s Irish Cup clash with Dungannon Swifts.
Ballyclare are preparing for the visit of the Premiership side to Dixon Park in an intriguing sixth round tie.
“At the end of the day Dungannon will be big favourites to progress. They are the Premiership side,” Hill said.
“We know how tough it is going to be, but we are looking forward to the game.
“People might write us off but we will go out and give it our best shot.
“This is the Irish Cup, and players should need little motivation when they step over the white line on Saturday.
“This is the blue riband competition in Northern Ireland so we can’t wait.”
Ballyclare – who sit 10th in Championship 1 – go into Saturday’s game on the back of an impressive 6-2 victory over Lisburn Distillery last Saturday.
“That was a big win for us and it should give the lads plenty of confidence,” Hill added.
