Crusaders boss Stephen Baxter is refusing to take anything for granted as he prepares to take his champions to Belfast Loughshore Hotel Arena.
The Crues kicked off the defence of their title with a thumping 6-0 win over Ballymena United on Saturday.
Carrick started their campaign with a 4-0 defeat to Glenavon.
“We know how tough it can be at Carrick,” Baxter said.
“We went there near the end of last season and ended up losing. It is a difficult place to go to.
“We also have Linfield to come on Saturday, so we know how big a week this is. Every game is a challenge but we will be ready.”
