Dungannon Swifts boss Darren Murphy hopes his players can build on last week’s success over Ballymena United.
The Swifts earned their first victory of the season with a 2-0 win against the Sky Blues.
It was just the tonic the Stangmore men needed ahead of Saturday’s testing trip to champions Crusaders.
“It was good to get that first win under our belts, especially ahead of our game against the champions,” Murphy said.
“There wasn’t much between the two sides last week, but I thought we were more clinical than Ballymena. That was the difference on the day.
“It takes the pressure off a little bit. We didn’t want to be going to Crusaders still searching for that first win.
“Hopefully the players can go out and express themselves at Seaview and try and get a positive result.
“It is a venue I always enjoy going to, and the players should enjoy it too.”
History won’t be on Dungannon’s side when they travel to the Shore Road on Saturday.
You have to date back to September 2012 for their last league win over Crusaders.
In eight Premiership meetings since, the Swifts have lost four and drawn four.
“Crusaders are a top club now. They are champions,” Murphy added.
“So they will be expected to beat us on Saturday. Maybe the pressure will be on them to deliver the points.
“We just have to go and focus on our own game and see what we can do. We are looking forward to it.”
