The Irish Football Association has been fined 7,000 euros following pitch invasions by fans during and after Northern Ireland’s 3-1 victory over Greece earlier this month.

UEFA have imposed the fine as a result of supporters encroaching onto the playing area at Windsor Park on October 8.

Northern Ireland claimed a 3-1 victory to book their place at a first-ever European Championship finals.

The Irish FA has confirmed that it will not be appealing against the decision.

The sanction for the pitch incursions was imposed by the UEFA’s Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body.
