Glenavon manager Gary Hamilton has signed a deal to remain at Mourneview Park for a further three years.
The player-manager joined the Lurgan Blues for his first managerial role in December 2011 and in his first season he kept a struggling Glenavon team up.
Last year the club reached the league’s top six for the first time and won the Irish Cup, the first time they had done so since 1997, under his tutelage.
A top six place has been secured once again this season and sat three points off third place and a Europa League spot prior to Saturday’s game with his old club, Glentoran.
A club statement said that his deal was due to expire at the end of the 2015/16. The new deal will see him remain at the club until the end of the 2018/19 campaign.
