It was the first time they’ve strung together a triple success since March.

They were made to work hard for it as Gary Haveron led his side back to his old stomping ground.

Stevie Gordon’s fourth goal of the season opened the scoring 10 minutes in. His bullet header put the finishing touches on a cross of real quality from Ciaran Caldwell.

It was just reward for the Glens’ bright start but as the half wore on, Carrick found their stride.

Mark Surgenor headed wide after he rose well to meet a Gary Lavery corner then Tiarnan McNicholl beat Elliott Morris but didn’t beat the linesman’s flag.

Curtis Allen made it two on 49 when he nodded in Eric Foley’s free-kick.

Paddy McNally’s first goal for Carrick halved the deficit - it a superb looping header - but Carrick didn’t really look like making it level.
