Dungannon Swifts 3 Portadown 1

Dungannon Swifts came from behind to claim victory in this Mid-Ulster derby.

Goals from Andrew Burns, Ryan Harpur and Paul McElroy secured the win.

The Ports took the lead in the 12th minute after a slip-up in the home defence.

The ball was given away cheaply and Sean Mackle squared possession to Chris Casement, who had time and space to shoot home.

But Dungannon soon turned the game around.

First Burns - a former Ports player - levelled when a corner broke kindly and he hammered home from close range.

And Swifts took the lead in the 30th minute.

The visitors lost possession in a dangerous area, and Andrew Mitchell’s cross was played back into the path of Harpur, who slotted home.

Mackle hit the post for the Ports on the stroke of half-time.

Dungannon had chances to add to their lead early in the second half.

David Armstrong shot inches wide after carrying the ball forward, while a free-kick from Dougie Wilson crept wide.

At the other end Mackle was denied after a tremendous save by Coleman.

Dungannon added a third in stoppage time when McElroy fired home from a tight angle.
