Two early goals set Coleraine on the path to a comfortable victory at Stangmore Park.

A deflected effort from Rodney Brown put the Bannsiders ahead after 13 minutes.

Teenager Jamie McGonigle then wrapped up the win with two goals, his first coming in the 20th minute and the second late on, to enhance his growing reputation.

Dungannon made three changes to the side which started the midweek JBE League Cup tie against Newington.

Andy Coleman returned as goalkeeper while there were also recalls for Andrew Burns and Cormac Burke.

Coleraine made one change to the side which faced Ballyclare in midweek.

David Ogilby - who scored the winner in this fixture last October - returned in place of Garth Falconer.

The visitors went ahead in the 13th minute.

McGonigle had a shot blocked and the ball rebounded to Brown, whose shot deflected off Dermot McCaffrey, giving the goalkeeper little chance.

It was 2-0 in the 20th minute. A ball over the top was allowed to reach McGonigle, who slotted home with ease.

Dungannon almost pulled a goal back in the 27th minute, but Mitchell’s powerful header came back off the crossbar.

Coleraine went close again via Brown, whose shot on the turn was tipped over by the goalkeeper.

The home side had big shouts for a penalty early in the second half after Burke went down in the box, but the referee ignored their pleas.

McGonigle made it 3-0 late on, tucking home a left-foot drive from a tight angle after the home side were caught pushing men up field.
