Crusaders have swooped to sign former Linfield forward Michael Carvill.

Carvill has joined the Danske Bank Premiership champions on a three-year deal after announcing his exit from the Blues last week.

The 27-year-old spent seven years at Windsor Park where he was part of three double-winning sides.

Crusaders chairman Stephen Bell believes Carvill is a “fantastic signing” for the Shore Road club.

“ Michael is a winner and a natural goal scorer and he will fit in with the team with little problems,” said Bell.

“It is brilliant that Michael has chosen to sign with us given the amount of clubs interested in his signature and again it shows the intent that Stephen Baxter has to bring yet more silverware to Seaview that he has captured such a quality player.”
