Northern Ireland women fell to a late 3-1 defeat to Italy in their latest Euro 2017 qualifier in Reggio Emilia.
Alfie Wylie’s side led the Italians through Everton striker Simone Magill’s opener in the 62nd minute,
That lead was wiped out nine minutes later when Daniela Sabatino equalised for the hosts.
Ilaria Mauro then forged Italy ahead in the 86th minute and Danila Stracchi added a third right at the end.
It leaves Northern Ireland – ranked 62 by FIFA and 48 places below Italy – fourth in Group Six with three points from three matches.
They started the campaign by winning in Georgia but were then beaten 8-1 at home by Switzerland.
