Warren Feeney admits he is relishing the hectic Christmas fixture schedule that lies in wait for Linfield.
The Blues remain in title contention as they approach the crucial festive period.
Feeney’s side sit just two points off leaders Portadown after 20 games as they target a first championship in three years.
Linfield have three home fixtures to come during December.
Saturday’s visit of Ballinamallard United is followed by a massive double-header with Portadown (December 20) and Glentoran (Dec 26).
It’s a run that could determine whether Feeney’s men are genuine title contenders this season.
“We have Ballinamallard and Portadown up next, and then the massive Boxing Day derby – but we will take it one game at a time,” Feeney said.
“December is a massive month, but this is a great time for a footballer. All the big games are coming up and these are the fixtures you want to play in.
“They are coming thick and fast and we will have to use our squad, but we will be ready.”
Feeney returned to playing action in last week’s spirited 3-2 win at Ballymena United.
“It was another game where we showed our character, and we will need to continue doing that,” the player/manager added.
