Linfield’s title challenge hit the buffers at Windsor Park as they crashed to a late defeat to Portadown.

Sean Mackle bagged a last-gasp winner to send the battling Ports home with three unexpected points – and their first league win in 13 years at Windsor.

It looked so good for Linfield when player/manager Warren Feeney headed his team into a first half lead.

But when Aaron Burns missed from the spot midway through the second 45 minutes, it proved to be the turning point.

Blues defender Jimmy Callacher then headed into his own net before Mackle struck the decisive blow on 88 minutes.

Linfield now trail Crusaders by three points, but the Shore Road boys have a match in hand.
