Glenavon have completed the signing of Bangor midfielder Andy Hall.
Hall has agreed a one-year contract with the Lurgan Blues.
Glenavon coach Nigel Law believes Hall’s arrival is a significant boost to Gary Hamilton’s squad.
“I worked with Andy when he was at Glentoran, and Gary played with him. So we know a lot about the player,” Law said.
“He has pace and is direct, and he doesn’t mind taking players on. His delivery is also very good, and he creates goals and can score them.
“Last season he had something like 30-odd assists for Bangor, and he scored 11 goals. That’s a great return for a midfielder, and I think Andy will enjoy linking up with our strikers.
“He brings a lot to the table, and he has the right temperament. So it is a great signing for us.”
Law believes Hall will relish the prospect of playing in the Premiership once again after featuring in the Championship with Bangor.
“I have no doubts he can translate his Championship form into the top flight,” Law added.
“I think Andy fell out of love with the game for a while, but he has rediscovered a passion for football once again.
“I know how good a footballer he can be and he will be a positive addition to the squad.”
