Northern Ireland played out a 0-0 draw with the Republic of Ireland in Thursday’s training match at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

The game was played behind closed doors as both sides continued their preparations for next week’s crunch Euro 2016 qualifiers.

Michael O’Neill’s Northern Ireland play Romania at Windsor Park on Saturday, June 13.

The Republic – managed by Martin O’Neill – play Scotland at the Aviva on the same date.

First up for the Republic is Sunday’s friendly international with England in Dublin.

Meanwhile, Northern Ireland have fallen two places to 44th in the latest FIFA World rankings.

The Republic climb two places from 62nd to 60th.

Scotland rose two places to 28th, while Chris Coleman’s Wales have dropped down a place to 22nd and England also fell a spot to 15th behind Costa Rica.
