Hamilton manager Martin Canning admits he has already started preparing for life without goalkeeper Michael McGovern.

The Northern Ireland international won the club’s player of the year award in his debut season with Accies and the 31-year-old revealed this week he was happy to wait until after the finals in France before deciding on his future.

“We would love to keep Michael but his form has been excellent and if he has a good Euros he will want to go and test himself at the highest level he can play at,” said Canning.
