New Northern Ireland boss Ian Barraclough wants Ollie Norwood to reconsider his international future ahead of the Euro 2020 play-off.

Baraclough will lead Northern Ireland into the all-important Euro qualifier away to Bosnia in early October and he is hoping Norwood might be there too

"As manager of this country it would be remiss of me not to put that call in," Baraclough said.

"Whether Ollie sees these reports and turns his phone off, that’s up to him.

"It’s one of those things: you want to try to get the biggest squad of players to choose from and if Ollie is one of the best players in that group and he wants to be asked to be called upon, asked to come back, then I’ll have asked the question.

"If I didn’t ask, if I didn’t pick up the phone, then I don’t think I’d be doing my job properly."
