Larne brush aside Crusaders to reach Co Antrim Shield last four

Larne stormed into the semi-finals of the County Antrim Shield with a 4-0 win over Crusaders.

The hosts broke the deadlock on 38 minutes as Marty Donnelly fired in from distance.

They had doubled their advantage within five minutes as Albert Watson headed home Mark Randall's corner.

Two minutes into the second half Andy Mitchell slotted home a penalty after Randall was fouled. And the tie was wrapped up on 51 minutes as another former Crues man, Ronan Hale finished well from Donnelly's pass.

Holders Cliftonville proved too strong for Dundela as they ran out 7-2 winners in the end.

Joe Gormley scored four with two from Chris Curran and one from Ryan Curran to complete the rout.

Early goals from Navid Nasseri and Jordan Stewart sealed Linfield's place in the last four as they saw off Carrick Rangers at the Loughshore Hotel Arena.

Glentoran beat Ards 5-4 on penalties at The Oval as the quarter-final finished 0-0 after 90 minutes.

It went to sudden death with Jamie McDonagh holding his nerve to score the decisive spot kick.
