It marks a return to the Reds for Hale following time spent on the Cliftonville Academy books before joining Aston Villa in 2015.

Hale also lined out for Galway United and Derry City before a deal at the Crues.

However, Crusaders released a statement earlier this month highlighting that “Rory Hale has been placed on the transfer list at his own request - the club have reluctantly accepted this and are open to offers”.

Hale has been capped by Republic of Ireland under 21s.
