Ross County boss Jim McIntyre heaped praise on hat-trick hero Liam Boyce following Saturday’s win over Dundee.
Northern Ireland striker Boyce claimed a classy treble at Global Energy as County ran out 5-2 winners.
It was the latest impressive performance from the former Cliftonville’s hitman in the Scottish Premiership.
“Liam’s forte is putting the ball in the back of the net,” McIntyre said.
“We’re still working on other aspects of his game such as holding the ball up and releasing it early but he has a natural ability when it comes to finishing and sharpness in the box.
“I’m absolutely delighted for him as his finishing was superb.”
County twice came from behind to take the points with a clinical display of finishing and move four points ahead of the Dark Blues.
McIntyre added: “It was a good afternoon in the end.
“We started the game really well yet Dundee had managed two shots on goal, had scored with one of them while our goalkeeper had to make a fantastic save with the other.
“We had created three chances in that time but not worked the goalkeeper with any of them and it was at that point I thought ‘how are we 1-0 down here?’”
