BALLINAMALLARD 1 GLENAVON 0

A strike by the in-form Ryan Campbell on 55 minutes was enough to earn Ballinamallard United all three points at Ferney Park.

It was Campbell’s third goal in a week and keeps the Fermanagh side out of the relegation zone.

The goal came after McMenamin, playing in an unaccustomed midfield holding role, set up dangerman Liam Martin and when he crossed from the byline Campbell was on hand to steady himself before shooting past keeper James McGrath from 10 yards.

Glenavon did have chances with Eoin Bradley shooting over from point blank range and again hitting the side netting when a goal looked on.

Forsythe should have levelled when he was put through on goal, but skewed his effort just past the far post.

Ballinamallard could have added more towards the end of the game when Jason McCartney was through one on one with the keeper, but shot wide.
