Crusaders boss Stephen Baxter believes a fully fit Stephen O’Flynn can be a major threat in the Danske Bank Premiership next season.
O’Flynn is still adjusting to life at Seaview since moving to the newly-crowned champions from Institute back in January.
The 32-year-old has shown glimpses of quality during his time on the Shore Road, and Baxter believes the former Derry City striker can be a potent force next season.
“Stephen is some player – his finishing is the best I have ever seen. What a finisher he is,” Baxter enthused.
“In training, his striking of the ball is fantastic. But he needs to be fitter.
“You can tell he played professionally. Give him space and he will do you damage.
“But he needs to get fit. A fit Stephen O’Flynn would be some player.
“He knows what he needs to do. I have asked people to go away and make sure they are 100 per cent fit for next season. Standards are high and we know what is expected at this level of football.
“All the players are monitored at the club, and Stephen is relatively new to us. So he knows what is needed.”
