Michael McGovern - Did what he had to do, making a fine save from Mario Gotze early on, but could do nothing to keep out both goals. 7/10

Lee Hodson - Making his first competitive start in three years, Hodson produced an accomplished performance down the right flank. Produced a vital touch to prevent Julian Draxler from doubling his tally in the first half. 8

Oliver Norwood - Worked hard in midfield until he was withdrawn. Wasted two decent opportunities to shoot at goal, firing over both times. 6

Corry Evans - A steady performance. Won possession before surging forward in the first half, securing free-kick on the edge of the box which Norwood fired over. 7

Jamie Ward - Put the Germany defence on the back foot every time he got the ball, advancing from the left flank to lend a hand to Magennis. Should have worked Manuel Neuer more with a decent chance in the first half. 7
