Andy Morrison closes in on PGL singles title defence

Andy Morrison is only one game away from making a successful defence of his Private Greens League singles title.

The Ballymena man will face Dunbarton’s Peter Convery in the final at Old Bleach on Saturday (3.30pm).

Morrison defeated his Sly Blues team mate Andy Duncan 21-12 in the semi finals on Monday night, while Convery stormed to a 21-10 victory over his Dunbarton pal Marty Trainor.

There is a mouth watering all-Belmont final in the pairs down for decision with Paul Daly and Simon Martin locking horns with Chris Eadie and Roy Battersby
