Tyler Beskorowany started in the Giants net with Francis Beauvillier, Matt Towe and Andrew Dickson missing for the hosts.

The visitors took an early lead in Belfast - much to the surprise and disappointment of the local fans - when Matt Marquardt slid the puck past Beskorowany at 4:30.

It was a good finish from Beskorowany who was assisted by Brian Hart and Lukas Lundvald Nielsen.

Mark Garside posted the equalising goal right at the end of the middle period.
