Another bumper is expected for the County Antrim Indoor Bowl Club’s round robin short mat pairs tournament, to be staged on October 14-15.
There is top prize of £150 up for grabs for the winners, with the runners-up pocketing £90.

“Although the area is a hotbed for the short mat game, the interest comes from all over the country.
“We are hoping to play eight groups of four per night, with a three game guarantee.
“Section winners would then play a further game on the night.”

Entries will only be valid if they are accompanied with the current payment. Forms can be returned to: Jim Baker Stadium, Ballysavage road, Parkgate, Templepatrick, Bt39 0DX.
