Eugene Donnelly will race at Galway International Rally

Eugene Donnelly is back on the rally scene, he will contest the forthcoming Galway International Rally the opening round of the 2015 Clonakilty Black Pudding Tarmac Rally Championship.

Donnelly who last competed in the series on the 2014 Circuit of Ireland Rally will be part of a two car Mini WRC Team and he will be joined by young rising rally star Dean Rafferty.

“I am delighted to be taking part in the Galway Rally it is one of my favourite events, but it may be difficult for me to get on the pace.

“I am really looking forward to it and giving my all to get as near to the front as possible - but the main thing is to enjoy the event,” commented the former champion.

Donnelly will drive the right hand drive Mini WRC which he used in Galway last year which will be prepared by McGeehan Motorsport.

Dungannon Motor Club will once again run their Rally Navigation School. The four week course begins 7.30pm on Wednesday 4th February.

The course will be preparing the students for the clubs upcoming Snowdrop rally on 13th March and will be concentrating on the basics of navigation, timing and map reading.
