Nikki Parke and Susannah Brown got the goals for Money in their 2-0 win against UCC in Cork while Judithe Allen hit a double for Elks in their 5-0 victory over Genesis at Jordanstown.

Paula Haugh notched a hat-trick and Stef McCullough got two for Bann in their 5-3 win in Dublin over Corinthian, who had fought back to draw level at 3-3 late on.

In the Irish Hockey Trophy, Mossley were 2-0 winners at Ashton but Castle lost 7-0 to NUIG in Galway.

In the Ulster Premier League, champions Lurgan got off to a winning start when they defeated Dungannon 3-1 at the Royal School.

Chloe McCann gave them an early lead but Karen Elliott levelled from a set-piece before Sarah McClure replied in kind just before half-time and Lauren Wright sealed the win.

On Friday night, Queen’s came back from a goal down to defeat Ballymena 3-1 with goals from Tori Hastings, Koren Ferguson and Jessica McMaster after Clare Gillespie’s opener.On the men’s front, Instonians were left cursing their luck after losing 4-3 to UCD in the Irish Senior Cup after leading 3-1 with just two minutes left at Shaw’s Bridge.

Queen’s went down 1-0 away to Railway Union while South Antrim also exited in Dublin, going out on penalties following a 1-1 draw with Clontarf, after Adam Clarke had given the Lisburn team the lead.
