Tyrone registered their fifth successive McKenna Cup success on Saturday night with an extra time win over Derry in the decider.

Trailing 1-12 to 0-13, two points late in injury time took the game into extra time.

And with seconds remaining, Darren McCurry scored a penalty to seal victory 1-22 to 1-17.

Ryan Bell’s goal had helped Derry to a two-point lead near the end of normal time with Tyrone pair Cathal McCarron and Ronan McNamee sent-off late on.

It was a 10th McKenna Cup title for Tyrone manager Mickey Harte.
