Have you made your New Year’s Resolution Yet? Want to get fit and healthy?

For Deep RiverRock Belfast City Marathon Champion, Judith Gillespie, she has started her New Year’s Resolution early and has signed up to participate in the Team Relay event to support Marie Curie Cancer Care in memory of her sister in law Anne who was a marathon runner, and who tragically died of cancer seven years ago.

To help her on her journey, Official Healthcare partner Randox Health, invited Judith to their Clinic at the Culloden Hotel to have a complimentary Quantum Health Check.

At the clinic in-depth physical and biological assessments were carried out, including taking a small blood sample, which was sent to the scientific experts at Randox Laboratories who conducted more than 100 advanced tests on Judith’s blood.

“Whilst I watch what I eat and drink, am a big fan of the Mediterranean diet, my cholesterol level was higher than normal,” said Judith.

“Although high cholesterol does run in my family, I wasn’t aware it was an issue for me, but now I do, I can deal with it.”

Judith exercises regularly by walking her dogs twice daily and also running two-three times a week as part of her training for Race Day (which she is delighted to be a Marie Curie Cancer Care Champion), so according to the results, she is in “pretty good shape for a woman in her 50’s!”

“With hectic lifestyles, including busy jobs it can be difficult to eat well and to exercise, but discipline really is the key and I’d encourage any woman around my age to take the time to invest in themselves with a Randox Health Check – get it done!” added Judith.

And you can get it done NOW too! The organisers have partnered with Randox Health to offer one lucky person the opportunity to receive a complimentary Quantum Health Check.
