The Stena Line Belfast Giants made it back-to-back wins this weekend thanks to Sunday’s 3-2 road win in Sheffield.

Goals from Colin Shields, Brendan Connolly and Darcy Murphy combined with a stellar display in goal by Jackson Whistle earned the Giants an impressive win that follows Saturday’s 6-4 victory in Manchester.

The win was even more notable with the Giants missing Stephen Murphy, Dustin Johner, John Kurtz and Mark Garside through injury as well as the suspended Spiro Goulakos. The victory in Sheffield sees the Giants remain in first place with 33 points from 25 games.

The Giants stay on the road with back-to-back away games next weekend. First up on Saturday is the Fife Flyers in the Challenge Cup Quarter Final 1st Leg, face-off 7:15pm, followed by an Elite League clash on Sunday against the Nottingham Panthers, face-off 4pm.
