Crossfit Whitewolf in Lisburn played great hosts for the day and provided an excellent venue for one of the largest spectator groups seen at one of these competitions.
Several GoLift members were in attendance including our youth development lifters Aaron Agnew and Stewart Reid who both won gold.
Rebecca Foreman competing in her very first competition in the Under 23s 69kg class along with Jill Costley, winning a bronze and silver medal respectively.

In the Men’s Sections, Richard Peters lifted excellently for his first competition winning the 62kg class.
Nathan Braniff also won gold in the Youth 69kg, Ross Stewart won silver in the 77kg, and Cameron Montgomery won silver in the Youth 105 + kg class.
The star of the day however was GoLift’s own record breaker Philip Smyth.
Philip competed in the 105kg class and went on to break three Northern Ireland records previously held by the late great Laurence McConnell.
Philip managed a 135kg Snatch and 155kg Clean and Jerk, resulting in a phenomenal final total of 290kg.
