The FIA World Rally Championship returns to Europe and to Portugal with the fifth round getting underway later today.
Dungannon driver Kris Meeke is keen to follow on from his success in Argentina.
The works DS 3 WRCs ring the changes on their return to action in Europe with new livery and modified aerodynamics and Meeke is confident that this is a step closer in the ongoing battle with the works Volkswagen Polos.
“After winning my first WRC rally, perhaps the pressure is off me a little bit,” said Kris.
“In Argentina, everything worked out perfectly. I know I still have a lot to do in order to be competitive at all of the rallies, but the win has given me confidence.
“I will have to keep going and stick to our team strategy and I am not going to set myself any new goals. I just need to be very consistent and avoid making any mistakes.
“In Portugal, the revised route should help us to make up for our lack of experience.”
The route this year is based around Porto after spending ten years in the Algarve with many of he stages new to this generation of drivers.
