Sandra Bailie got back to winning ways following here disappointment in the British Isles Championships last week.
The Ireland international retained the Women’s Club triples title at the Belfast Indoor Bowls Club.
Bailie has rewritten the record books by lifting the Irish triples title on three successive years, but the British crown still eludes the Bangor woman.
She traveled to Stanley on a double mission, but was agonisingly beaten in the final of the pairs and fours.
However, on her return she team up with Chloe Watson -- who was also beaten in both the senior and Under-25 singles in England -- and Karen Woodside to defeat Helen Wilson, Liz Bruce and Cliodhna Eadie 22-20 in a cracking final in the Belfast women’s triples final.
n Entries are now invited for the Killeeshill Bowling Club’s annual open pairs tournament.
The competition will be stage on March 30/31 and April 1/2, with play getting under way at 7.30pm each evening. Finals night is penciled in for April 4. Entry fee is £7 per pair, including supper.

n St Savour’s Indoor Bowls Club, Portadown, celebrates is 50th anniversary this year.
Club officials aim to make their annual pairs tournament even bigger and better this year. The tournament will get under way on Monday, March 23 and played throughout the week. The finals will be staged on Saturday (28).
