A stellar line-up of riders has been confirmed for the annual Pro-Test at Cartagena in Spain in March, organised by ex-JPS Norton and Honda Britain team manager Barry Symmons.

The annual test, which takes place from March 5-8, attracts the cream of competitors from a multitude of championships.

A host of leading teams have committed to the shakedown as the build-up to the new season gathers momentum.

Northern Ireland’s Tyco BMW team will be in action with BSB riders Michael Laverty and Tommy Bridewell plus Alastair Seeley, who has switched to the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship.

Reigning BSB champion Shane ‘Shakey’ Byrne will be joined at the test by team-mate Stuart Easton on Paul Bird’s Kawasaki machines, while Dublin’s Jack Kennedy is also entered on the Team WD-40 Kawasaki along with Taylor Mackenzie.

Halsall Suzuki riders Josh Waters and Christian Iddon plus the JG Speedfit Kawasaki line-up of James Ellison and James Westmoreland will also be in action, while Andy Reid and James Rispoli make the trip with Keith Flint’s Team Traction Control outfit.

Top road racers include Gary Johnson (GBmoto Kawasaki) and Keith Amor (Rig Deluge), who will run BMW Superbike and Supersock machines this year plus a Honda CBR600RR in the Supersport class.
