The 2015 Adelaide Masters Series was officially launched on Saturday at the Adelaide Black Horse Motorcycle Festival at the King’s Hall in Belfast.

Ireland’s biggest short circuit motorcycle championship will run between April and October at Mondello Park, with the series also returning to Bishopscourt in Co Down.

Adelaide Motorbike Insurance will again be the primary backer for the fifth year of the mini-championship, which includes five rounds in total this season, culminating with a two-day finale at Mondello Park in October. Once again, each of the Mondello Park races will be televised live online via Mondello.TV.

The organisers have opted to drop the Grand Final race this year with the aim of increasing the number of laps for the feature Supersport and Superbike races.

A key change will also be the introduction of a BSB-style qualification shootout, with grid positions decided by times from the a single session and the grid for races two and three formed based on times from the previous races.

Sam Geddis, Managing Director of Cornmarket Insurance Services, of which Adelaide Motorbike Insurance is a brand, said: “Mondello Park are continually enhancing this event to make it more exciting for both spectators and riders.

“We’re also delighted with the popularity of the live broadcasts on Mondello.TV enabling a wider audience to enjoy Ireland’s biggest motorcycle racing series.”

Fergus Brennan, Mondello Park, Championship co-ordinator, added: “We’ve enjoyed a fantastic partnership with Adelaide Motorbike Insurance over the past four years so naturally we are extremely pleased that the association will continue into 2015.”
